Getting started and help

A clear next step.

Practical answers for practitioners and people using a practice’s patient portal.

Private testing is underway.

Public registration is not open yet. Invited testers can sign in and use fictional sample records to explore the workflow. If you have an invitation, begin with that invitation link.

How do I sign in?

Open Sign in and continue with ChatGPT. Use the account email that your practice invited. General sign-in can route you to your workspace, portal or a choice of both. If the account is not invited to private testing, signing in alone will not unlock the app.

My invitation does not work. What should I do?

Check that you are using the invited email address. Invitations expire after seven days and can be accepted once. Ask the person who invited you for a replacement if the link expired or your email changed. Never post the invitation link publicly.

Can I personalise my workspace later?

Yes. Open Practice & settings, then Personalisation. You can change your professional title, colour, note format, session duration, starting screen and movement preference. The practice owner also controls shared terminology and the portal’s starting colour.

Can a patient choose a different colour?

Yes. The patient portal includes appearance preferences. A person can keep the practice’s default or choose a colour and movement level that feels comfortable to them. Colour descriptions are suggestions, not clinical predictions.

Where do questionnaire responses and reflections go?

They are shared with the linked practice after submission. Review the sharing message before submitting. Entries may not be read immediately. Contact your practice through your usual agreed channel if something needs a timely response.

Can I correct a submitted questionnaire?

Submitted responses are retained as a record and cannot be edited in the portal. Contact your practice to explain the correction or additional context. The practice can keep that context with the record or assign a new questionnaire.

Why did my note not save?

Read the message before retrying. You may have lost connection, opened an older version of a record, had your access changed, or reached the end of editing access. Keep the editor open where possible, reconnect and check whether the change is already saved.

How do voice notes work?

With permission, start a recording in a note, stop it and listen back before saving it to practice files. The microphone turns off when recording stops. Recordings are limited to 20 MB, and the browser may stop at that limit. AI transcription requires the optional provider connection and a separate request.

What files can I upload?

PDF, DOCX, plain text, JPEG, PNG, WebP and supported audio formats are accepted, up to 20 MB per file. The practice’s storage allowance includes patient uploads and archived records. Owner settings show the allowance and usage.

Can I install TidySession on my phone?

Open it in your browser and look for Install app or Add to Home Screen. Availability depends on the browser and device. Installation provides an app-style entry point; an internet connection is still needed for records, uploads and saving changes.

What happens after the trial?

The original 30-day trial never charges automatically. When billing is enabled, the owner can choose a subscription after the trial ends. If editing access ends, records remain available to read, download and export.

How do I export a record?

Open the patient record and choose Export record. This downloads the structured record as JSON. Files remain available through their individual authorised download actions. The export is not a backup of the whole service.

Who should I contact?

For care, questionnaire or patient-record questions, contact your practice through your existing agreed channel. During private testing, product questions should go to the person who provided your test access. A public support contact will be published before registration opens.

For urgent support

TidySession is not an emergency or continuously monitored service. If you need urgent help, use your local emergency or crisis support service, or the urgent contact arrangements agreed with your practice.
